What Is Being Taught in Public Schools – The Not So Hidden Hidden Agenda
It is my opinion that, because of the changes brought by the
Court system since the 1960′s, Public Education is follow what
I would call a not so secret secret agenda
1. Religion is an optional diversion that has no place in public education, government, nor public policy.
2. All religions have equal value and none should be promoted over any other.
3. People who do violence based on their religious beliefs (or lack there of) should be understood and not condemned.
4. Christians should not promote their beliefs nor values in any way in public.
5. A country is defined by its government and not by its religion.
6. Science is totally separate from religion where science is portrayed as based on facts while religion is portrayed as based on conjecture and opinion and not on facts.
Christians need to understand this agenda and work to
counteract it. This cannot be one individual taking one action
in one school in one state. It must be a group effort with
all Christians participating all throughout the country.
Weak Economy, Increase in Dress Codes Fuel Boom in School Uniforms
The stumbling economy and accompanying layoffs led most retailers to report sober, if not awful, back-to-school sales. And many forecasters expect holiday sales to be tepid at best. But the news is not universally bad. One area of retail that has continued to perform well despite the economy is school uniforms. The strength in this area is driven by the need to buy quality but inexpensive clothing and the increase in schools adopting dress codes.
Before the 1990s, school uniforms were reserved almost exclusively for private school students. For boys, that meant stodgy and expensive blazers. For girls, long, pleated plaid skirts that were usually raised immediately after school ended. Kids resented them and parents held their noses and paid hundreds of dollars to insure compliance with the schools.
